BS OHSAS 18001 requirements and other standards
To provide participants with knowledge of the BS OHSAS 18001 standard, and other relevant standards and codes, and to discuss integration issues.

Simulated site audit: To provide participants with the skills necessary to decide what OHS audit documentation they would wish to see for an audit

Hazard identification, risk assessment & development of risk management controls
To provide participants with knowledge of the scope of hazard identification, and various information and methods to identify OHS hazards, risk and risk reduction methods.

Simulated site audit: To provide participants with practical experience in looking at a site and identifying hazards, and asking questions about things they see.

To provide participants with a brief background to sources of OHS legislation.
  Module 10: Optional Workshop - Senior Management auditing Simulated site audit: To provide participants with practical experience in questioning senior management about improvements and projects
 

Module 11: Audit Case Study - Pt 2 and corrective action assessment (group prep. and feedback)

Simulated site audit: To provide participants with practical experience in evaluating corrective actions, using records, and operational level audit situations, including nonconformities, audit techniques and audit trails, legal issues and the interpretation of the standard

 

Module 12: Audit Case study
Part 3 - intro & group prep. and feedback

Simulated site audit: To allow participants to prepare for Part 3 and interviewing personnel and a review of the findings of Case Study Part 3
