Overview
Mapping the Value Stream is one of the critical initial steps on the Lean journey. It is a powerful technique that will help your teams to see the value and waste within your organization and provide a foundation for building a lean enterprise. In this ONE DAY course participants are taken through a step by step guide to development of a current state Value Stream Map, examination of the map to identify and prioritize subsequent improvements and development of a future state map.
Note: When delivered in-company, day 2 is spent on the shop floor applying the learning within a real value stream.Key Session Topics

Course Techniques
This is a highly participative course with a focus on ‘learning by doing’. Lectures, tutorials and case studies are used to review the key principles, mapping tools and improvement techniques. Day 1 concludes with simulation exercises used to apply the learning. If run in company, Day 2 provides the participants with the opportunity to map a real value stream, identify potential improvements, complete a future state map and detail an action plan.
