Ex 79 - CREATING A RISK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Overview

This TWO DAY course examines the creation of a risk assessment and management system, with reference to corporate governance requirements (e.g. Turnbull). The methods outlined can be consistently applied across many business areas, and they deliver easily understood information enabling senior management to understand and act on the risks of the business. Areas include financial, quality, environmental, health, safety, and information security risks. In-house courses can address other types of risk.

The course draws on the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4360:1999, which outlines a generic risk methodology.

The format of the course is a practical progress through the assessment and management methods, and there are many checklists and forms that the participants take away to use for their own in-house risk assessments. The methods give a consistent integration framework for standards such as ISO 9001/14001, OHSAS 18001/ILO, ISO 17799, TL 9000.
