GEOFFREY W DOOLE - Managing Partner, FCQI, Lead Auditor
Geoff is a founder member of Excel Partnership, providing training and consultancy support to clients in over 50 countries worldwide. Geoff progressed from an industrial engineering career to an extensive period of auditing and audit management with BSI QA, the world's largest certification body. Whilst managing the business development activity for BSI, he played a key role in introducing ISO 9000 to industries in the UK and internationally in the fields of transport, food, textiles, pharmaceuticals, paper and packing, in addition to the service sector.
As well as initiating certification systems within Brazil and establishing INMETRO as a national certification body, Geoff has worked with all of the Big 3 automotive companies in the USA and Land Rover, Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Bentley Motors, Nissan, Ford and Vauxhall in the UK. Geoff has extensive experience of training clients all over the world and working with diverse cultures. He has also worked for companies in the defence field, including the MoD and branches of the armed forces. Geoff has also provided support to certification bodies such as BSI, TüV and NQA, including overseas certification bodies gaining accreditation for their services in the Caribbean, South America, the Far East and China.
As a leading Excel trainer, Geoff has trained over 4,000 Lead Auditors and is an IRCA registered Lead Assessor as well as a Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute. He gained his MA in Business Studies and Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree from the University of Sheffield.
GORDON R STAPLES - Managing Partner FCQI
Also a founder member of Excel Partnership, Gordon has had industrial experience in computer manufacture, steam plant design and manufacture for nuclear and military applications and offshore oil and gas equipment. He developed British Gas Corporation's auditor training in the 1970s and has held senior posts in international consultancies in Europe and USA, including Ilford, BSI, UL, IKEA, Compaq, Shell, BP, Nissan, Goodyear, Yamaha, TÜV.
Within Excel Gordon has key responsibility for the content and design of many of Excel's training courses. Gordon also designed and wrote the BSI Lead Auditor Course and is the author of various chapters of "The Handbook of Quality Management" (Gower). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute, Fellow of the Association of Quality Management Consultants and a Senior Member of the American Society of Quality. He is also a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and a Certified Management Consultant.
TIM ALCOCK - Managing Partner, FCQI
From his early career in monitoring nuclear vessel fabrication and installation work at British Nuclear Fuels, Tim worked for the Design Council and thereafter for number of international consultancy and training organizations, specialising in ISO/TL/QS-9000, TS 16949 and ISO/IEC 17025 for Laboratory Accreditation. His experience includes six years in SE Asia developing consultancy and training, particularly in telecommunications, software, testing and equipment manufacture with organisations such as Motorola, Sony, Telecom Malaysia, Adflex and Westinghouse.
Tim has provided leadership in the development of Excel's products relating to ISO/IEC 17025 and 17020. He has developed and led Excel's tutor team running Auditor and Lead Auditor training classes on a regular basis and is a key figure in Excel's ISO 9001 work and general Quality Management Tools.
Tim qualified from UMIST, UK with a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) and Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering. He is an IRCA and RABQSA registered Lead Auditor and a Certified Skill Examiner for RABQSA. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute, a Member of the American Society for Quality and a registered Senior Consultant with the Institute of Quality Assurance Management Consultants Register. He is the Author of "A Manager's Guide to ISO 9000" (Times Publications).
